1 If you've got snack food in the house, you've got liners. Reuse them!

2 As a fresh food storage bag. Just baked up a batch of cookies? After cooling store the treats in the liner either in or out of the cookie jar.

3 As a shelf liner. Great for the pantry (and no more honey dripping on your shelf!). Also great as drawer liners too for the vanity, refrigerator crispers, and office drawers.

4 Want to bake up some biscuits for dinner? Add the mix and water to the liner and mush the ingredients. Or use as a marinating bag for meat. Shake and bake mix with diced potatoes works too!

5 Storing frozen foods: Save time by whipping up extra pancakes and freezing them in the liners. Just cut liner and use wax paper to separate layers.

6 As a flexible cutting mat. Use the liner during cooking as a flexible mat for things like peeling potatoes or slicing apples.

7 Does your recipe call for crushing potato chips to coat the fish? Contain the mess by filling the liner with the chips before smashing them.

8 Protect surfaces while working on a craft project.

  • Great tips! THanks!

  • Tana glad you like these ideas. If you have an item you hate to toss let me know and I'll find a re-use for it!

  • Re-use cereal bags and cracker bags for storing hard cheese like parmesan cheese. I just shake the bag out really well and take the cheese in it's original wrapper and place in bag and seal with an elastic band. I find it keeps large pieces of cheese for a long time if it doesn't get eaten first!
I also use them for pounding out meat or chicken breasts for faster cooking!
