Natural Beauty Gurus: The 10 Questions I Always Ask, Yael Alkalay

Posted by

Name: Yael Alkalay
Occupation: Founder and CEO, Red Flower
Location: NYC
Who is your beauty inspiration? Beatrice Wood, my mom, Catherine Deneuve, Mother Nature

What beauty indulgence do you spend the most on? Trips to Onsen in Japan, acupuncture... If I had to buy Red Flower I would need a special bank account for all the Red Flower Ohana Bamboo Gingergrass Scrub I go through!

What do you spend the least on? I do not do any type of dyes or injectables or tools. I believe hands are the best tools.

What does age mean to you? You have to be sensitive and open to life's journey.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve learned about skin this year? Facial acupressure with Red Flower Essential Omega Fresh Berry Oil Serum changed my skin. The simplicity of the method and its pleasure and benefits have astonished me.

What’s the one thing you do (not product-based) that you think affects your appearance more than anything else?
Yoga

Why naturals? Toxins are bad for the environment and destroy your health. I believe using the purest ingredients from nature is best for both the body and the environment and create a powerful, luxurious, unforgettable experience.

  • Awesome interview! I hope this is an ongoing series. :) I can easily think of at least 10 other great folks to interview.

  • Great article on Yael. She is a great person, yogini and visionary for natural health & beauty. Had the pleasure of working with her years ago for a brief stint at redflower. Her company embodies many great aspects of clean, healthy living.
