Before you can wrap a gift, do you have to hunt down a gift bag and wrestle with rolls of ribbon? Here's how you can reuse a few common household items to make your own gift wrapping shelf today. Any good gift wrap shelf needs the essentials - - gift wrap, ribbons, gift bags, bows and to/from tags so here's how to put is all together in a few simple steps.
A Shower Bar Holds Gift Wrap
Use a spring loaded/tension mount shower curtain bar for the roll(s) of gift wrap. Slide the roll of gift wrap onto the shower curtain bar and then mount the bar inside the shelf. In case you missed it here's how to keep your rolls of gift wrap from unraveling.
A Paper Towel Holder Organizes Ribbon
Make a ribbon organizer from a spare wall mounted paper towel holder. If you're like me, you're using more cloth towels and fewer paper towels so you probably have a spare paper towel holder hanging around. Slip the rolls of ribbon onto the bar and attach the dispenser to the side or back of the shelf.
A File Sorter Separates Gift Bags
Next use an office file sorter to keep greeting cards and various sizes of gift bags handy.
At this point you're almost done, complete your gift wrap shelf with a few finishing touches like a pair of scissors, rolls of tape, to/from tags, and bows, I placed mine in a colorful box.
That's it! In a matter of minutes you can transform a single shelf into your own personal gift wrapping station. Now wrapping gifts will be much easier and if you need gift wrapping inspiration Martha can help with that.
