We didn't set out for the recipes in our new "Power Foods" cookbook to be specifically for kids -- but then again, you can't go wrong with flavorful, delicious food ... especially when it's in the form of burgers, fries, pizza, and creamy dip. So when Martha Stewart appeared on the "Today" show this morning, these recipes got the kid-friendly stamp of approval. (We know you'll love them, too!)
Martha demonstrated the cooking techniques used with our Grilled Mushroom Burger with White-Bean Spread, Sweet Potato Wedges with Sesame-Soy Dipping Sauce, Whole-Wheat Pizza with Artichokes and Pecorino, and Artichoke-Spinach Dip (with artichoke leaves instead of chips for dipping!).
And while, of course, these junk-food makeovers are great for TV, don't forget the rest of the delicious recipes (150 of them, to be exact) in our first cookbook -- which debuted at No. 11 on the New York Times Bestseller List January 23 -- made with 38 of the healthiest ingredients (including lots of winter produce) at your grocery store or farmer's market. It's full of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, as well.
