Share Your "Organic Moment" and Win a Year of Groceries!

Posted by Alex Postman

Do you remember when you made the decision to go organic? It might have been when you had a baby, or discovered a chemical sensitivity. For me, it came a few years ago when I was co-writing the book Healthy Child, Healthy World (for the Los Angeles-based nonprofit by that name). I heard from every pediatrician I interviewed that I should feed my kids organic dairy to avoid the synthetic hormones in conventional milk (rBST or rBGH), which are injected into cows to increase milk production and are thought to contribute to certain hormonal disruptions.

Now Stonyfield (and could I eat more tubs of their plain, lowfat yogurt each week?) has launched a campaign to raise awareness around the importance of organics by encouraging consumers to share a video recounting their “Organic Moment” and how going organic has benefitted their lives. You can see mine (filmed amidst the hubbub of Anaheim’s Natural Products Expo last March) here.

All you need to do is pull out your camera or smart phone and start talking. You could win a year of free organic groceries or a month of Stonyfield products. Submit your entry to http://yourorganicmoment.com/submit.php. Can’t wait to watch!
