As the temperatures rise on the East Coast, I’ve embraced iced green tea lattes. You’ve probably sipped on green tea before, but have you ever tried green tea powder? Like green tea, green tea powder is loaded with antioxidants, fiber, and chlorophyll. A good quality green tea powder (I like the Minami Nutrition brand) is also great for boosting your immunity and energy. On its own, green tea powder can be a little tart, but when combined with a touch of fruit and almond milk it makes a fabulous breakfast smoothie.
Matcha Green Tea Smoothie
Serves 1
2-3 Gala apples, peeled and cored
1 cup almond milk
1 teaspoon matcha green powder
4 ice cubes
1/16th teaspoon Stevia
Place ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
