Challenge of the Day: Soothe a Sunburn with Milk
Despite your best SPF-forts, sometimes you get a little more sun than you'd planned on. Heal up singed skin fast with an ice-cold whole-milk compress, says Alexis Wolfer, founder of thebeautybean.com. "The fat in the milk will moisturize and prevent peeling, while the lactic acid will speed up cell turnover and the healing process." Just dip a washcloth or towel into a bowl of chilled whole milk and apply directly to the skin for 20 minutes.

Adding essential oil of lavender to whole milk will very much help the healing process.
