Travel with Ease: 3 Ways to Bless Your Journey

One of my favorite traditions in the sisterhood is the way in which we bless and pray for those who travel. It’s the reason I believe you rarely hear about nuns dying in travel-related accidents. The blessings and prayers of their sisters protect them. Here is a simple blessing you can do for yourself or others the night before traveling.

Create a Travel Altar

Keep it simple. Use a white candle, holy water (which you can bless yourself and make holy), incense, plane tickets, car keys, house keys, and the trip itinerary.  Into the candle carve (with a pin) your destination and home address. Anoint the candle with holy water and light it, praying the Journey Prayer.

Recite this Prayer

In the way of peace and prosperity, may God, the almighty and merciful, direct our steps. And may angels accompany us on the way, that we may return to our home in peace, safety, and joy.

Travel Ritual

Light the incense from the candle and pass the smoke over the travel items, focusing on a safe and happy trip. You can sprinkle holy water on the items as well, repeating, “As I pray, so might it be.” Leave the items on the altar until it’s time to leave. When extinguishing the candle, repeat the Journey Prayer, keeping in mind that you are now surrounded and protected by angels.

Happy trails to you. May you go, and return home in peace, safety, and joy.

Until next week, think about this:  Of journeying, the benefits are many; the freshness it brings to the heart, the seeing and hearing of marvelous things. The delight of beholding new cities, and the meeting of unknown friends. - Muslih-uddin Sadi

  • no one should ever scoff at spells, blessing and rituals. i used one from your book "SISTER KAROL'S BOOK OF SPELLS AND BLESSINGS". LIT A GREEN CANDLE, FOLLOWED THE SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS, WENT TO THE CASINO, AND WON FIVE THOUSAND BUCKS.

  • I'm still waiting for my commission on that five-grand win.

  • I didn't win 5 grand, but did win $500.00 at the casino after doing Sister Karol's spell. Not so lucky was having to use the money to buy a new toliet.

More importantly, after doing another spell it turned around someone's life for the better. Amazing!

  • It's belief in what you ask for that's the magic. Tune in next week for "How to Get What You Wish For"
