Cemetery Angel—New Orleans
I grew up believing that each of us is born with an angel on our shoulder, a loving spirit with wings whose job it is to protect and guide us. In grade school, we were even told by nuns to scoot over at our desks to make room for our guardian angels—further incentive to behave. I still believe in angels, those at my side, as well as those who walk the earth. They appear to help us in times of need, and then disappear. You don’t need to be religious to meet an earth angel, and here are three signs to look for.
Earth Angels are Healers
Stories of those who’ve met earth angels lead me to believe they wander battlefields, appear at accidents, and walk the halls of hospitals. They may appear as ordinary people to those in distress, save their lives, then move on, attributing what looks like divine intervention to someone else. Whenever you’re in crisis, be on the lookout for earth angels because that’s when they appear. The more you call on them, the more they respond. They love and live to heal.
Earth Angels are Helpers
Those who aren’t earth angels live for their own growth and enjoyment, dedicating their lives to themselves. Earth angels are dedicated totally to helping others, consumed by a holy passion to serve, nurse, teach, and look for opportunities to help. They possess an intense sensitivity to the needs of others, so much so that strangers often confide in them. They are in this lifetime to help others and appear everywhere kindness is needed. If you are the recipient of life-changing help or a stranger’s kindness, you most likely have met an earth angel.
Earth Angels are Messengers
Earth angels are also divine messengers. Not only do they watch over us and present our prayers to God, but they often appear in human form to prevent a tragedy, and then vanish. They may warn us, urge us to change plans, or give us a strong feeling of impending danger. Their supernatural presence surrounds us, waiting to deliver messages that enlighten, protect, and save us. So if you ever have a strong sense that someone’s trying to tell you something, listen closely, because it’s likely to be an earth angel delivering a divine message.

I am pretty sure my husband and I had an angel encounter. We had 3 small kids and we were always broke when we were young. They openned a new mall about 1/2 hour away from where we lived. There was a merry go round at this mall and he wanted the kids to go for a ride on it. We had enough money to buy the tickets and get them some ice cream. We had less than $2 when we left the mall.
On the way home our car quit running. We had absolutely no money for a tow truck. We were stranded on the side of the road. There was nothing happening when my husband turned the key. We needed a new alternator. A police car stopped and asked if we wanted him to call a tow truck. this was more than 25 years ago so we didn't have cell phones then. We said no and didn't tell him that it was because we had no money. We were going to wait awhle. We sat there for over an hour and it was cold. A lady stopped and offered to give me a ride to a gas station. I took the money we had left and it was just enough to buy a can of Heat. I didn't know what else to do she brought me back to our car. My husband put the Heat in the gas tank and the car started right up. And off we went. This was on a Monday. When my husband got paid that week on Friday the car quit running again and we had to replace the alternator. This time no one was stranded and the money was in the checkbook. I truly believe that lady was an angel.

I do too. When angels appear there is no doubt about who they are and where they come from. Consider yourself blessed.

alas, there is no longer room on my chair for my angel...i think we both have gained weight through the years....still believe in her!

I know an Earth Angel. Daily she performs little acts of kindnesses. She is my friend. On Sept 1 she celebrated her 99th birthday. A week to the day later we received the grim news that she had taken a spill and had broken her hip. After 3 days she was discharged from hospital with only a small fracture [according to her ] She is taking a few steps as of this writing and spreading joy among the other patients. I believe her Angel interceded to enable her to continue her ministry here on earth

I had a very rough week at work and have been dealing with harrassment at work. I deal with people who have mental illnesses and I know where I work now is my stepping stone before I gain my success. I had a meeting last Thursday and I cam eto work the next day which was a Friday. I was so down, distressed and they have broken my spirit...temporairly.
After work I rode the subway towards home and noticed a man been staring at me as he smiled gradually. As I got off the subway I noticed he was ahead of me and as I walked by he took off his head phones and he says,"Excuse me miss...Jesus loves you and you are very pretty." I smiled and thanked him.
I felt blessed and loved.
That following Monday I saw one of the ladies who have harrassed me came in with a cast for her arm. For some reason I felt relieved but still showed compassion. The funny thing is that when someone messes with me something usually happens to them. Another lady got hit by an SUV for harrassing me and ince she came back she showed kindness to me like I always have. I know I am protected.
