Who is your beauty inspiration? My mother. She cuts her own hair, does her makeup in less than 10 minutes, and never diets, yet she is the same size she was 30 years ago and is always radiant. She taught me that simplicity, classiness, and confidence emanate true beauty.
What product/treatment/beauty indulgence do you spend the most on? Massages! Massage promotes the movement of our lymph system, (our lymph doesn't have a pumping mechanism the way our blood does), which is important for moving toxins out of the body and promoting circulation. An efficient lymph system helps keep our skin glowing and youthful.
What do you spend the least on? Body lotion. I use straight organic, unrefined coconut oil on my skin!
What does age mean to you? Our society puts WAY too much emphasis on chronological age. I think it's ridiculous! If someone eats in a way to maximize beauty energy and their cells are cleansed of toxins, they will look much younger and actually be younger, in a much more real, far more significant sense than the chronological number of their age.
What’s the most interesting thing you’ve learned about skin/hair/nails/beauty this year? “White half moons” at the base of every nail bed indicate good health and vitality. A lack of moons indicates poor circulation and a lot of congestion and mucus buildup in the body. Incorporate lots of cayenne pepper, and pungent foods like garlic, shallot, and onions, which help break up an overrun of clogging mucus and plaque in the body.
What’s the one thing you do (not product-based) that you think affects your appearance more than anything else? The food I put in my body is far more important than products, and can make skin glow from within in a way that makeup never can. The one thing I never ever skip is my daily Glowing Green Smoothie, my signature recipe I make for all my celebrity clients.

Thanks for your awesome book. I've been in the radiant phase for ten days and I'm loving how I feel already. I have a question regarding food pairing. I'm struggling to find organic gluten free crackers that are protein free (most have seeds). I'm trying to avoid the protein/carb mix. Any recommendations on a brand? Thanks so much!
