I was first introduced to steamed collard greens while attending college in the South; they're quite popular down there. And over the years my affection for collard greens has only grown. I've discovered the thick, hearty leaves are wonderful sliced in a raw salad, used as a sandwich wrap, and blended in a smoothie.
Collard greens, thanks to their dark green color, are uber-rich in chlorophyll, a natural detox agent. Revitalize your body this week with this detox-friendly smoothie.
