Reward your hardworking thumbs with a simple massage: Turn your right hand palm up and use your left thumb and index finger to massage the base of your right thumb with small, circular motions. Repeat on the left hand. "A regular self-massage will loosen tight muscles, which improves range of motion in the thumb and helps the joint at the base of your thumb stay healthy," says biomechanist Katy Bowman.
