Reduce, Reuse, and Reignite Your Creativity

Posted by Whole Living Daily

You've probably weeded out those winter clothes and accessories you'll likely never wear again. You know the ones: the pieces that are still at the back of your closet, waiting in vain for just the right opportunity to be worn. Instead of letting them take up room (or throwing them away), get your creative juices flowing and find a new use for them. "Scarves can be sewn together to make a cool striped blanket," suggests Danny Seo, green-lifestyle expert and author of the book "Upcycling." "Stretch those kids' T-shirts with cute designs over wooden frames and have instant works of art. Or, re-cover the seats of dining chairs with old sweaters, using a staple gun and scissors" -- and give some of your favorite patterns and fabrics new life.
