I buy organic, cook my own family meals, and only use fresh organic ingredients. I have up red meat & poultry as well for I am leaning into vegetarianism.

I have sensitivities to food additives, so we make most everything from scratch, including condiments. If we buy something in a box or jar, we have to understand every word. There are still very few processed foods that don't contain excitotoxin additives.
We buy pasture fed beef and poultry, and organic fruits and vegetables all as local as possible. Our bread is organic from a local bakery, and in the summer we subscribe to a weekly CSA from a local farm. A large part if our budget goes to healthy food, but healthy food is one of our biggest priorities. It is fun stretching a meal into 3 or 4 meals, and learning to be more creative in the kitchen.
