An exciting, important, and highly educational television program will premiere at 9:00 p.m. EST and PT on Sunday, June 3 on the Veria Living network.
What is it?
A Model Guru, a wonderfully holistic show hosted by Yogi Cameron, who is a world-renowned Ayurveda and yoga teacher and former top supermodel. In each of the 13 one-hour episodes, Cameron consults with individuals afflicted by various medical conditions. He subsequently works side by side with each client (and their loved ones, as needed), prescribing a transformational regimen including Ayurvedic treatments and dietary changes, yoga postures, meditation, mantra, and a focus on life goals. Essentially, this is a show about empowering each participant by nurturing his or her whole person--their mind, body, and soul.

A major reason why I believe so fully in Cameron’s show and its vital mission is the fact that he has personally been an inspiration to me. Since initially attending the Dalai Lama’s Peace Summit in Newark, New Jersey, with him last year, I have seen firsthand how deeply he embodies the yogic and Ayurvedic teachings he shares. Not only does he walk the talk, but he’s also a well of knowledge. Cameron authored the top selling book The Guru in You, which provides an accessible yet in-depth overview of yoga and Ayurveda practice, history, and philosophy, as well as productive, life-improving challenges for the reader. I’m really looking forward to his upcoming book on the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, which is slated to come out early next year. Oh, and as you’ll see when you tune into his show, Cameron certainly has captivating charisma.
It’s been an honor to hear about the evolution of this first TV series over the past year. As Cameron told me, it’s been an educational experience for all involved. Something that particularly inspired him was observing how much positive transformation results when one confronts illness and adversity with determination, honesty, and goodwill. It also was very important for him assist people in reclaiming their center and grounding themselves through the yogic and Ayurveda practices.
So, definitely check out this motivating, absolute makeover (soul inclusive!) show this Sunday! Contact your cable provider if you’re having trouble finding the Veria network (which has a bunch of wonderful health and well-being shows) or visit www.veria.com. I don’t own a TV, but I’ll definitely catch the program at my friend or brother’s house.
