If you’re like me, you like to go to the store and pick up a few basic ingredients to make a variety of different smoothies. At the same time, you don’t want to buy so many ingredients that you risk things spoiling (what a drag!). So over the past few weeks, I invested in a bunch of kale and some spring strawberries and branched out from there.
Kale and strawberries make a fabulous smoothie combo! This one incorporates freshly squeezed orange juice and tangy lemon. I have really been enjoying it for breakfast on these warm spring mornings!
Just getting started with kale? The dark leafy green is full of nutrients with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits that help you stay vibrant and youthful. You might also give kale a try in this Kale-Strawberry and Cinnamon smoothie. I also love kale in a smoothie mixed with yogurt and cardamom. Grab the recipe here!
