I love green smoothies. I often make them in the morning for a quick and healthy breakfast. Greens like cucumber, kale, chard, parsley, and spinach add a mega punch of vitamins and minerals to your morning meal---and blending them helps the body absorb the nutrients quickly and efficiently. What a great way to eat your greens, huh? You don't even notice you're getting handfuls of raw, fresh vegetables without fat or salt. I add flaxseeds for an additional dose of protein and omega-3 fatty acids. If you don't have a strong blender, use ground flaxseed.
