Smoothie Wednesday: Double Melon Smoothie

Posted by

If you’re like me, you’re scratching your head this week wondering where summer has gone! With one last summer weekend ahead before the unofficial start of fall, I’m celebrating with a festive brunch. And I think a refreshing smoothie that celebrates summer’s juicy watermelon and sweet cantaloupe may be just the way to kick off the party on the right note.

Double Melon Smoothie
Serving Size: 1 (~100 calories)

Ingredients
1 cup fresh watermelon cubes, frozen (ideally)
1/2 cup fresh cantaloupe cubes, frozen (ideally)

Watermelon – Health beauties love watermelon for its cooling nature and natural sweetness. Very often you will also find them juicing the watermelon flesh along with a small piece of the rind, which is rich in silicon and chlorophyll, a natural detoxifier.

Directions
Place ingredients into a good powerful blender until smooth and creamy. Thin with water or thicken with ice if desired. Enjoy!
