The Clean Water Act Turns 40, and Nature's Gate Celebrates

Posted by

Did you know that today is the 40th anniversary of the Clean Water Act? Water conservation is constantly on our minds at Whole Living, so we're always eager to learn about what trailblazers like Alexandra Cousteau are up to, plus ways to reduce our water usage at home. And when companies step up and say they're taking responsibility for their impact, we're ready to listen.

It's also happens to be Nature's Gate's 40th anniversary, and they've honoring their commitment to clean water with a special edition 40th Anniversary Herbal Body Wash (available at Whole Foods Markets and Sprouts Farmers Markets). Each year, Nature's Gate donates to WaterAid, a not-for-profit that helps improve access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene education in Africa, Asia and Central America. The company has also partnered with WaterAid to build eight new rainwater-harvesting systems, and they're already providing clean water to at least 4,000 people.
