What's your makeup removal routine? At the end of a long day, you probably just want to wipe it all off quickly before crawling into bed. But swiping haphazardly can tug at the delicate skin surrounding the eyes, leading to fine lines and wrinkles.
To gently remove stubborn eye makeup, use these simple steps from makeup artist Jemma Kidd, author of Jemma Kidd Make-Up Secrets: Solutions to Every Woman's Beauty Issues and Make-Up Dilemmas (St. Martin's Press, 2012).
1. Fold a cotton pad in half and place the flat edge beneath your bottom lashes. Dip a Q-tip in an oil-based makeup remover. Close your eye and stroke it over your lashes and lash line.
2. Soak the pad in makeup remover. Hold it over your closed eye for 30 seconds, then gently wipe the makeup away.
