Bio: I grew up in an italian family where everything revolved around food. I became a vegetarian and then vegan 4 years ago and haven't looked back. I started Emily's Desserts, a wholesale vegan desserts company in Baltimore, MD in 2008. I am the author of Sweet Vegan: A Collection of All Vegan, some Gluten-Free, and a Few Raw Desserts, a desserts cookbook, featuring all vegan, some gluten free and raw recipes.

My philosophy: When life gives you lemons, make lemon buttercream cupcakes!

If I weren't doing what I'm doing now I'd be... Pastry Chef at a 5 star restaurant.

Favorite piece of advice: Life is short, eat dessert first.
