Home: New York, NY
Bio: Maggie Mistal, a certified career and life purpose coach is best known for hosting "Making a Living with Maggie," a weekly national radio show on SIRIUS XM satellite radio. Her motivational advice to combine passion and talent with career has transformed the lives of her listeners and clients.
Maggie makes frequent media appearances as a career expert. In 2008, CNN called her "one of the nation's best known career coaches." Maggie has been quoted in the New York Times, the New York Post, The Washington Post, FoxBusiness.com, WallStreetJournal.com, Body+Soul, Shape, and the Boston Globe. Maggie also gives weekly career advice tips on her blog and website MaggieMistal.com, and answers career Q&A for the Martha Stewart Radio Blog.
She’s also working on a book featuring a process she calls Soul Search, Research, Job Search which she has long used in her successful career consulting practice, helping people identify their ideal careers and walking them through the steps needed to make a living doing work they love. Top corporations such as Wyeth, PepsiCo, CIGNA, Diageo NA, and Random House call on Maggie to develop their employees and managers.
My philosophy: Soul Search, Research, and Job Search. Career happiness and success reside on how well people align who they are with what they do. I help people through a unique process so they can find their own answers, understand and review career options and obtain a career that matches their skills, motivators and passions.
If I weren’t doing what I do now, I'd probably be a Cabaret singer or Impressionist painter
Favorite piece of advice: What would you do if you could not fail? The proper mindset is critical for a successful transition and I ask my clients this question to remove all doubts/fears and believe everything is possible.
