Olessa Pindak

Deputy Editor, Health and Beauty

Olessa Pindak began her magazine career at Allure, where she sniffed and scrubbed her way through every beauty product under the sun. She was raised in a family that makes whole-wheat bread from scratch, spoons wheat germ on everything, and believes there isn't much that the right cup of tea or natural remedy can't cure. As senior editor at Natural Health magazine, she covered topics that led her to Korea to learn about green tea and Guatemala to meet Fair-Trade aloe farmers.

A New York City resident, she composts, grows herbs on her fire escape, and tries to reuse everything -- from bits of antique jewelry to eye-cream containers. On weekends, she can be found museum-hopping, cooking, or escaping the city to hike or run by the ocean.
