Sister Karol Jackowski
Author and Painter of Religious Folk Art
Home: New York, NY
Bio: In my life as a nun since 1964, I've been a college administrator, PhD Graduate of New York University, manager of a toy store, currently a published author of eight books and painter of religious folk art, and a sister to everyone I know and meet.
My philosophy: Do what you love, harm no one, be kind to animals, and take care of Mother Earth.
If I weren't doing what I do now I'd be a Hermit tending sheep or host of an oceanside bed & breakfast.
Favorite piece of advice: “Everything is holy just as it is.” And, “Never get into a pissing contest with a skunk.”
